Charles and Dontevia are accomplished communication professionals who bring a wealth of expertise and shared values to both their personal and professional endeavors. The couple met at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where they each earned a Master’s degree in Speech Communication, laying the academic foundation for their distinguished careers.

Charles serves as a Communications Professor, dedicated to educating and mentoring future leaders through thoughtful instruction and a commitment to academic excellence. Dontevia is a Corporate Communications Specialist, partnering with organizations to develop clear, strategic messaging that drives impact and fosters meaningful engagement.

Together, they are the proud parents of two daughters, who inspire their commitment to family, integrity, and purposeful living. Guided by their core values of organization, strong morals, and effective communication, Charles and Dontevia strive to model excellence in every aspect of their lives.

In their free time, they enjoy traveling, maintaining an active lifestyle, and spending quality time with their children, creating meaningful experiences that strengthen their family bond.
